Early this morning, Google announced that they are now providing flu trends for 16 more countries. Additionally, flu trends is available in 37 different languages now.

Hour by Hour, Trend by Trend

Announced just yesterday, Google Trends will now be updated every hour (compared to the previous monthly updates.) Google also released a feed that will let you monitor all the “hot trends” of today. You can even add it directly to your Google Reader — or you could add our feed if you can’t live without it wanted to. Having this kind of daily trend analysis access will be great for search engine optimization. You will be allowed to access today’s hottest news, today’s hottest topics, and today’s hottest keywords. Until now, the SEO industry has been forced to depend on Wordtracker, Yahoo!’s Overture tool, just to name a few among many other types of trend analysis tools out there. This is a great improvement and now I’m looking to see what Google will release the Google Trends API so we can access the data outside of Google.
