Google Secures Postini Acquisition

Google’s Vice President of Google Enterprise has announced the secured acquisition of Postini, “…more than 100,000 businesses on Google Apps, 35,000 businesses and more than 10 million users of Postini…”
This acquisition is just another part of Google’s global strategy that we are seeing be formed to push office to the web. As previously seen already, Microsoft is becoming a little scared of what Google is trying to do.

Microsoft to Acquire Parlano

Parlano and Microsoft have come to terms which are undisclosed, to be acquired by this corporate giant. Their 50-odd employees are planning on moving to Redmond, WA after the close of the deal expected to happen in the fourth quarter.
“…Parlano’s “collaborative” software enables thousands of workers to share messages and other documents in real time, and offers better security than the freebie instant messaging offered by some Internet service providers…” is what ChicagoBusiness.com had to say about the deal. Google in the Clear with Postini

Early last month, Google announced the acquisition of Postini, an online e-mail specialty company. As normal procedure happens in the United States of America, the government needs to take speculation at the acquisition to ensure there aren’t any antitrust laws being broken. The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has confirmed that the acquisition of Postini is legal and binding so there is no need for any action to be taken on the government’s behalf. Google is still in the dark about whether or not the DoubleClick acquisition will go through or not.
