Google Chrome to Support Greasemonkey
This is a huge win for Chrome users like myself. Greasemonkey is an awesome platform within a platform, that supports userscripts.
I’ve been a huge fan of Google Chrome on Windows, as it’s been the fastest browser I’ve ever used. I did a comparison of Chrome vs Internet Explorer, and Chrome definitely won.
The idea [...]

Thx Pete!

Google Chrome vs. Internet Explorer 8
So I’ve been writing a lot about how Internet Explorer 8 is making Microsoft look worse and worse, saying that they need to spend more time on actually making a better product.
Let’s go head to head and see how they line up.
Right-click options?
IE8 looks a lot like Chrome, with a few other options. Which [...]
Full StoryMicrosoft Struggling to Stay Alive
Microsoft is simply acting in desparation now to keep Internet Explorer alive.

Full StoryGoogle Pushes More Money to Chrome
Google is pushing full force to get Chrome adopted by the world. In a recent blog post, Google talks about how they are now running Google Chrome ads through their television advertising network on AdWords.
So why is Google trying to push Chrome so far? It’s two-sided, in my opinion.
Google obviously wants part of [...]

Chrome Next Steps: Extension API
Chrome is an amazing browser and I’m very thankful that Google released it. It has helped set the standard much higher for browsers and for what is to come in future releases of all browsers. The primary component about Chrome that I love is how fast the JavaScript engine is. It’s amazingly [...]
Full StoryGoogle Chrome Extensions
Google’s Chrome browser is still prepping for extensions. It really should have launched with extensions in the first place, along with a Mac and Linux version, but hey, life isn’t perfect and neither is Google.
Here are some excerpts about how to use extensions within Chrome.
Create a folder somewhere on your computer to contain your [...]
Google Chrome vs. Apple Safari [Beta4]
Google Chrome was launched in September of 2008. To date, Google Chrome is still not yet available for OS X or Linux version of the browser. Google continues to tell everyone “we are working on it,” yet still offers no product for these two operating systems.
Apple wanted to take advantage of Google’s sluggish [...]
Google Chrome Fixes and Beta Version Update
Google Chrome’s Beta and Stable channels have been updated to 1.0.154.48.
The change in 1.0.154.46 to fix HotMail caused a problem for users in Incognito mode trying to access sites which depend on the User-Agent header. This header identifies the type of browser making the request and should be part of every request, even in Incognito [...]
Google Chrome Privacy
Matt Cutts, a Google extradinaire, wrote up an article talking about Chrome’s privacy settings. How private is your data? …and is Google becoming “big brother” by collecting your data?
This is all explained by Matt in his article.
Here’s a short excerpt by Matt in his article.
I like that you can manage Chrome’s communications settings [...]
Google Welcomes Code Contributions
The first comment on the post is actually a great question. “Is this the first outside contributor that has been granted commit privileges?” by Ryan.
Chrome is, I believe, the first product of Google which is accepting an external committer. [full doc on becoming a committer]
Google has chosen Pawel Hajdan Jr. as [...]
Google Chrome Leaves Beta
In a shocking announcement today, Google Chrome is leaving its “beta” status and is being announced as a stable public release.
I say shocking because it’s very rare for any one of Google’s products to leave the beta phase these days.
Google Chrome is an amazing browser which is ultra-light weight and very easy to use. [...]
Google Chrome: Going Over the Basics
Here is an article from Google, discussing some of the basics about Google Chrome.
A glossary of all the terms you may find in Google Chrome. It’s a good refresher course for those that want to learn more about the the nitty gritty of Google Chrome.
Google is…Not Google?
Redirects are very common with websites. Especially those that are concerned with search engines.
If you type in http://ginside.com, it will redirect to http://www.ginside.com, because that’s how I have it setup — everything points to www.
But apparently, Google is no exception, even to its own browser, with this rule.
Good job Google ;)

Going for a Spin with Google Chrome
So after a day of using Google Chrome, I have to admit that I’m really happy with it. A lot of people are moaning and groaning that it’s “not the next IE killer.” Okay, so what? So what if it’s not an IE killer? Does that mean you should turn people [...]
Full StoryGoogle is Already Marketing Google Chrome
Google is…wow..man they’re efficient at getting products out the door and marketed.
After doing a few searches, we can clearly see that Google wants to get the good word out about Google Chrome. But alas, even searching from a Mac, Google AdWords will still show up — so AdWords cannot yet decipher between operating systems [...]
