Google Supports iPhone Unlocking

I have discussed Google and Apple’s mutual love for each other already, but this one comes as, well, only a little bit of a surprise. The surprise comes in the form of an AdWords advertisement I noticed in my Gmail.

Apple’s iCar in the Works?

According to various sources around the web, Apple (”AAPL“) and VW (”VLKAY“) are in talks about co-creating the new iCar.
A Volkswagen representative confirmed to the German-language paper that talks were at an “early stage,” and that Steve Jobs met with VW CEO Martin Winterkorn several days ago to discuss the concept further.
So what’s the next move for the industry? For Google? Might this be the next rabbit trail for Google to try to get a piece of the action in? Apple has been able to focus on the music industry for quite some time. Already being a leader in the computer industry, the music hardware industry only seemed like their next logical move. Now Apple is involved with computers, music (iPod), mobile (iPhone), and now an emerging entrance to the automotive industry.

Google to Fight for Gmail.cn

A legal source told Reuters that Google was trying to buy the Internet domain name, held by Beijing-based ISM Technologies. It resembles Google’s internationally known e-mail service, gmail.com, and the colors in which the two logos are written are similar. The “.cn” suffix is commonly used for Chinese domain names. Google recently began offering free Gmail accounts in China to promote its brand. Another nasty trademark battle for Google.
