YouTube Now Allows 15min Uploads

In recent YouTube news, the previous cap of 10 minutes per upload has been raised to 15 minutes per upload.
A little excerpt from the announcement,
We want YouTube to be the best place to upload video. Without question, the number one requested feature by our creators is to upload videos longer than 10 minutes. We’ve heard you, and today we’re pleased to announce that we’ve increased the upload limit to 15 minutes.
Well great, now I can upload videos that are 15 minutes…a whole extra 5 minutes.
What I’d really like is for them to bump it up to 30 minutes or an hour. Really get some serious footage on there and let me upload pretty much anything I want. Even the 15 minutes cap is still very restrictive, in my opinion.

That is a welcome change. There have been a few things I have wanted to upload in the past that have been a bit over 10 mins and having to edit them to being 10 mins has not made them as effective (I think). Thanks for sharing.

Agreed. While the increase is nice, I don’t know if it’s still yet sufficient for really being the “best” place.
