Google Analytics Annotations

This is awesome! I’ve been wanting something like this for a while. There was a greasemonkey hack there for this, but it wasn’t ever really consistent.

FINALLY!

As a holiday treat, in an email sent to Google Analytics users, the Analytics team has launched a holiday bonus feature of annotations. Here’s what it looks like.

This feature is especially useful if you launch a new product or change your website design, where it may effect how users actually browse your website.

Thank you Google Analytics! I love this feature. It’s small, but very useful.

I monitor about 20 sites with Google Analytics and have been waiting for this Annotated feature for three years at least. Finally! I have access to it on about 15 of the sites that I am monitoring. Now I can throw away the Excel cross reference sheet of “Blips” & “Upticks”.
