Google Latitude with Location History and Alerts

Google Latitude is introducing a few new and sought after features. Location history and alerts.

Google Latitude Location History

This new feature will allow you to see previously checked in locations for your Google Latitude account. Here’s what it looks like:

Google Latitude Location History

Google Latitude Alerts

The other feature launched with this announcement is Google Latitude alerts. This feature looks like it will be a lot like a competitor to foursquare. Foursquare has been around for quite some time and is still rumored to be “the next Twitter,” but I still hold my reservations on that. Latitude alerts, I imagine, will work very similarly, where it will notify you if you have friends at nearby places so you could maybe meetup with them.

If I used Latitude, I would probably love these new features, but alas, I don’t use it — I give Google enough information about me already ;)
