Google Music Search

Google is announcing Google Music Search, what has long been rumored and what most everyone can see as a straight forward move into the music biz. Without a doubt, lyrics is by far one of the most searched terms on the web.

Google is partnering with companies like MySpace, Rhapsody, iMeem, and LaLa, to provide these new music services directly with the Google search experience. Here’s an example of what it might look like.

Google Music Search

Not only will Google help you more quickly find the music you’re looking for, it will also help you find music you didn’t know you were looking for — music discovery. This is pretty much like what Pandora Radio does already, helping people discover new music that they may enjoy. Google is aiming to do this as it’s becoming more and more relevant today that we need to find new things that we didn’t know we enjoyed.

A side example of this is my friend Sarah wrote an article about Yelp and how she wanted to find new places in her new location that were similar to what she liked in her old location.

But without further adieu, let’s take a look at this new music search engine from Google.

Here’s a video demonstration of it.

Isn’t it interesting how search has evolved (and is evolving)… First just text, then images, then video, the shopping and now music… TV has to be next…
