Google Changes Its Logo Size

Today, right before my eyes, literally, the Google logo size changed and they added more space for search results on the sides. Phillip reported on this a day or two ago, but it seemed like the change was only for him. I tested in IE, logged in, logged out, Opera, Safari, any browser I could, but I was seeing the same thing, until today.
Logged out, under Firefox, I saw the change happen. Let’s look at it below.
First, the logo size change:

Next, more padding was added to the sides of the search results. This is definitely a change I agree with, much more pleasing to the eye.

A few changes that I think are going to be really good for Google and its users.

Unfortunately, changes are BAD! I sent out message to Google, because I’m very angry on padding. Now it’s very UNCOMFORTABLE to use it! Google must to add option either to use bigger padding or to not! Google dissapointed me again…

So if you really don’t like the changes, just stop using Google.
Google is in no way forcing you to use their search engine, you use it by choice.

No need to get all grumpy, you two. To each his own. I don’t care for the changes either – so I just undid them with a custom Greasemonkey script. The script is shared here: http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/52961

I thought something had happened. I was feeling slightly uncomfortable on search results pages, but I couldn’t put my finger on it!
I think it is a change for the better though, the extra space will feel more natural as time goes on.
