More Google Spam

Spam in the Google index is a constant battle that Google is fighting. It is such a huge problem, that they have an entire team dedicated to just dealing with spam.

Google does a great job of fighting spam, but alas, they’re still not perfect — nor will they ever be, sadly.

Here’s some of the latest spam.

Google Spam

All the links above go to a single page to let you “download” the song after filling out a survey. Of course, the publisher intended for all these links to go to a single site, music 0n dot com. It’s all just a bunch of garbage and provides absolutely no value to the user.

Fortunately, Google has some awesome people on Twitter, helping out and commenting on current day activities of the Webspam team at Google.

Twitter: Brian White

Fortunately though, we have spammers that are dumb enough to report themselves :)

With that much information in Google’s index it will be difficult to always have clean search results. It is a good thing they have devised a team of people to try and fight off some of the junk that appears in search results.

Wow, there are some innovative SEO’s out there, but they are walking on thin ice and will likely get in trouble or be chasing short term traffic.
