Tracking Your YouTube Channel with Google Analytics

YouTube recently launched a new blog called the YouTube Biz Blog. In short, a blog to help you make money on YouTube. There hasn’t been as big of a push from Google to generate money via YouTube, but there should be.
YouTube is a huge search engine, whether we want to believe it or not. I keep coming back to this article on ReadWriteWeb.com, but it’s a reality. In short, a story about how someone’s son started using YouTube as a search engine, looking for answers, instead of Google.com proper.

With the launch of YouTube’s new blog, they also made the announcement of adding the ability to track your YouTube channel via Google Analytics. YouTube is not dismissing YouTube Insights, the analytics platform that most people will still use, but they are introducing a way to get even more information about your channel.
This is just another great integration between Google products. Cross-integrating products from various acquisitions is something that Google does very well.
Ironically, Google didn’t produce a video about how to use Google Analytics and YouTube together, which is actually quite a shock to me. I was looking, but I couldn’t find one.
