Google Pushes More Money to Chrome

Google is pushing full force to get Chrome adopted by the world. In a recent blog post, Google talks about how they are now running Google Chrome ads through their television advertising network on AdWords.
So why is Google trying to push Chrome so far? It’s two-sided, in my opinion.
Google obviously wants part of that market share that Microsoft owns with IE. With more and more users using Google Chrome, they are more easily to want to use Google as their default search engine than they are Yahoo! or Live.com Kumo.com.
Obviously still, the more eyeballs you have, the more money you generate from advertisers.
The second side of the story is that I think they really want the community to adopt this open source platform and build on it, which partly includes the first reason I just explained.
So the advertising push is two-fold, but it’s still a strong push and I’m really glad they are investing in something that will make a difference, it certainly has made a difference in my life.
Now I just wish they would make a Mac version already.
Here’s the advertisement that they are running for Chrome.
