Priti Choksi Heads Over to Facebook

Seems like someone over at Facebook has taken to a shepherding role and is bringing more and more Googlers over to the quickly-growing social network.
Over the weekend, Matt Marshall posted the latest convert from Google to Facebook. Priti Choksi was the Director of Strategic Partner Development, including deals with the Google Toolbar distribution.

According to VentureBeat, Choksi accepted a position with Facebook as the new Head of Business Development. She is considered “sharp” by her colleagues, VentureBeat reports.
So what has been causing this recent fleeing of executives? Could it be the stock down-turn? Quite possible. Late last year we saw Google stock plummet from the $700 range down to a measly $378 per share. In late 2007, we saw one Google executive sell of their stocks while the price was still high.
Marshall goes into detail about how it’s a great time right now to get discounted shares at Facebook and sell them off later when the economy picks back up. This could also be another reason why people are leaving Google to head over to Facebook.
Facebook is not going away anytime soon. But neither is Google. People need to socialize and people still need to search.
