Gmail on Autopilot

Today’s April fool’s joke was turning on Autopilot for Gmail. Here’s a glimpse at what it looks like.

Honestly, I felt last year’s Gmail April fool’s joke was a lot better. This year, I’m actually disappointed. I feel like they set the bar so high last year, they would have just had to have outdone themselves this year, but failed.
Yeah, I’m just disappointed.

That’s only a fraction of the joke. The big picture was CADIE and a computer that because ‘self-aware’. They worked it into Google, GMail, Docs, YouTube, and Twitter.
I thought it was pretty funny.

Right, I’m going to cover it tomorrow.
Even with CADIE, I still felt they under-did themselves. They could have done a LOT better, especially with everything going on with the economy and new technology.
I just really feel like they dropped the ball on this one.
