Opt-Out of Google Targeted Advertising

Google’s recent announcement of targeted advertising is completely changing the way that AdSense operates. But, Google has also provided a way for you to opt-out of it.

You can do this by one of two ways. Using your Google account settings or using a plugin. Both examples are below.

I’m not quite sure how I feel about this yet, but I’ll be explaining more as they roll out more and more with this new type of targeted advertising.

    As you are looking at this, take a look at a wizard we created here:

    http://www.privacychoice.org

    This allows users to opt out of all of the ad networks (not just Google) with one click. There will be plug-ins with this functionality as well, so those consumers who care about it, can be completely opted out and the industry can avoid regulation.
