Android Lead Developer Leaves Google for Coupons Inc.

The lead developer of the Android platform for Google, is said to have left Google to be the new Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Coupons Inc.
Steve Horowitz, age 41, was with Google for three years as he led the Google Android team; seeing the project through all the way up until launch time with T-Mobile last year.
Horowitz’s experience is primarily focused on mobile, television, and entertainment. He spent nine years at Microsoft developing products such as IPTV, Windows Media Center Edition, UltimateTV, Dishplayer, and WebTV.
His career started early at Apple Computer Inc. developing products and technologies, but then found himself as one of the early employees at Be Inc., the company behind BeOS.
Steve has had a long and successful career and I wish him the best in his future endeavors.
Welp, that’s another one off the list for Google. Looks like they will need to start recruiting again — despite their thousands of layoffs.
