Power Twitter Integrates with Google Maps

Power Twitter is a new Firefox addon, updated most recently as of yesterday. This little addon will enhance your twitter.com experience. I say twitter.com because it’s not a client, so you need to be using both the web and Firefox to have the enhanced experience.

One particular feature that this addon has is that it expands Google Maps into a full view when there is a link to Google Maps.

Here is a short list of available features for this addon.

  • search
  • search scoped to a specific user
  • status history peeking on mouseover
  • Facebook status updates
  • inline YouTube, Flickr, and TwitPic
  • url expansion
  • url translation to page titles
  • open web update (news feed) mapping

The only thing I want to note [and warn] about the addon is that, whenever you post an update via the web, the update will state that you made the update via Power Twitter, instead of via the web.
