Recruiters Now Recruiting Themselves

Google announced earlier today that they were reducing their recruiter force. I too, was a victim of this though. I interviewed twice a month ago with two different product managers at Google, but was politely turned away. Google obviously doesn’t think I’m smart enough to work there, but that’s fine, I’m alright with that.
Earlier today, Laszlo Bock, the Vice President of People Operations at Google, wrote on the official Google blog that Google is addressing the hiring and job status at Google. The thousands of layoffs that already happened is proof in the pudding for what they are announcing.
Something to be wear of: even if you’re qualified for a job, you still might need to fight for it.
It’s a tough market right now, even for a super-power like Google.
