The Google Affiliate Network is now offering something called Link Subscriptions [?]. Here is a quick breakdown of what these Link Subscriptions can offer you.
You can use the link subscriptions feature in Google Affiliate Network to build a feed that delivers new links when they’re created by advertisers. The link subscriptions feature will:
- Send you links by email or FTP.
- Deliver links within 24 hours after you set up your preferences.
- Either deliver all active links for your advertisers or only new future links, whichever you prefer.
- Send one file with any new links for your advertisers each day.
With link subscriptions, you’ll have full control over your feeds. You can:
- Receive feeds from a specific set of advertisers.
- Receive the most recent links for specific creative sizes.
- Receive the most recent links for specific promotion types.
- Temporarily pause delivery.
This new system will more easily let publishers have access to all the links they need to be successful with the Google Affiliate Network.
I have seen similar ideas from other affiliate marketing companies, like Commission Junction and Linkshare, but they don’t call them Link Subscriptions. They do, however, call them “feeds” or “product feeds,” which I like better [or maybe I'm just more accustomed to that.]
