Google Lays off 10,000s of Employees

Unconfirmed rumors have been floating around the web for a few months now. One of the is about the undisclosed amount of layoffs happening at Google.
According to the SEC, Google had 20,123 employees as of September 2008, a 5,000 employee increase from the previous year. So, doing the math, that’s a little over 13 new hires per day, every single day for the past year — wow.
Even advertising-master Google is being affected by the economic hard times in the US right now. It seems that no one can escape it, even myself.
