Google has gone ahead and taken the liberty to start advertising on two of their online properties; Google Finance and Google Images.
Here’s what Google is doing with these ads.

Having ads on various online properties is still relatively new for Google, aside from running ads on the google.com search engine. Yahoo!, however, has been running ads for as long as time has been around. Yahoo!’s ads are even more “in your face” than Google’s, but I’m quite interested to see what kind of response these ads get.
A large portion of the web is attuned to not seeing any ads on these Google properties, except Google Search and Google’s Gmail. So how will the public respond to these new ads? Will there be a high CTR? Will the price of these ads sky rocket? Will they see poor performance for these ads? Low conversions? High conversions?
I’m a little shocked that Google would go this route and sacrifice the user experience just to earn a few extra bucks.
