Google recently released an iPhone app which will let you search the web, both the world wide web and the local web, by simply saying so.

Google produced a video about the application, but I actually think the video is pretty lame. It doesn’t really dig into how the application works or give you any kind of hands on approach to the application.
In short though, the application will let you search the web using your voice. Whether you’re searching for something local or you’re just being lazy, the new application will help you get there.
Overall, I’m not very impressed with this application. Google has set themselves up for a very high demand from the public eye through amazing products such as Gmail, AdWords, and AdSense, and I strongly feel that Google fell short with this release.
