Google Launches On-Demand Indexing

Google has had their Custom Search Engine (CSE) platform rolled out for quite a while now, but there have been some drawbacks for many users. One of those drawbacks was how deep it would crawl your site.

This kind of limitation really diminishes the value of the CSE to smaller sites because they cannot get crawled properly, and in turn, when using the CSE, it wouldn’t display the proper results.

Today, Google announced a need tool for the CSE. On-Demand indexing.

This is going to be huge for smaller publishers because it will give them the flexibility and control they need to index an entire site, no matter how small, large, popular, or unpopular your site is, it can still be indexed like you want it to.

With the new system, you will be able to request for new pages to be included and they will be indexed within 24 hours.
