Google Goes Head to Head with Apple

Now that Google has entered the mobile market, despite denying that they were making a phone, they will now have to go face to face with ex-IBM chip guru Mark Papermaster.
Apple announced that they let go their previous iPod Group Director, Tony Fadell, to be replaced by IBM chip guru Mark Papermaster.

Papermaster, an ex-IBM employee, is going to be the new chip master at Apple. What does this mean for Apple? It means that Apple is going to take the new edge and compete at a higher level than they currently are. In shorter terms, higher competition for the industry.
Going back to Google, Android recently launched…but, well, it’s not that great.
Google is also going to have to pickup the slack with their first model of their phone being created by HTC. As stated above, it’s not that great. It has a long ways before being a great platform.
Sad to say this, but this is a big hit for Google because it just puts them that much further behind in the mobile industry.
