Competition is best because the consumer will always win. Companies need to be more innovative, more creative, and do things more efficiently to keep the user retained. Competition is what drives the world of business (and life), so if I were Mozilla, I would welcome competition; Google does. Google has been working very closely with the Mozilla team in Mountain View -- the two offices, Mozilla's and Google's, are very close to each other. Mozilla knew the whole time that Google was going to be releasing their own browser, it wasn't a surprise at all. Probably nothing differently.
