Gmail is closing in on the 7gb mark. Google started this “infinity+1″ initiative way back when in April 2005. As that “infinity+1″ has gotten bigger and bigger, storage is now almost up to 7gb.
Google made an announcement for added storage already back in October 2007, but it’s still been growing, even for the free accounts.
As you can see for my account, I’ve only used a small fraction of the storage available.
But it’s awfully nice of Google to give away 7gb of free storage to anyone who wants it. Thanks Google!!
