Google Docs Templates

Awesome news! Google Docs now offers templates! Joyce Sohn has the full write-up on the Google Enterprise blog (and official Google blog), but here are my thoughts on it.
Having the ability to create templates is of utmost importance to me, and millions of other users around the world. This is the first instance I have seen where Google has offered the functionality.
It seems a bit odd that this is the very first product where we have seen the ability to create a template.
You may be asking, “can’t you create templates in Blogger?” The answer is yes, you can. But, you have to realize that Google purchased Blogger so it wasn’t a home-grown Google product. Aside from that, Blogger is a blogging platform, so the sole nature of how it operates is based purely on a “template,” not the kind of template I am talking about.
Sorry, you may be sick of me talking about this now, but I’m really getting frustrated as to why Google has not rolled out templates for Gmail yet.
