A Lively Bunch of Googlers

Google recently launched Lively on lively.com.

A surefire hit to tackle Second Life in the Virtual Reality industry.

But, like the AP talks about, this is part of their “latest expansion beyond its main mission of organizing the world’s information.”

So why would Google want to draw in a new crowd of users to their products? Com’n, but now you should have figured it out. Duh, more advertising space! Google is more concerned with sustaining their business model of serving more ads and generating more revenue.

It’s a lost cause that Google can even imagine that they’re still following suit with their original mission statement.

A Second Life clone has absolutely nothing to do with organizing information.

Here’s a quick screenshot of what the frontpage looks like after you’ve installed the application on your Windows-based machine (sorry, no Mac OS X version available yet).

Second Life clone? Yes.
