Linking Google Accounts and YouTube Accounts

As reported by Sam Harrelson, it appears that YouTube is offering a way to link your YouTube account and your Google Accounts together.
I know, weird, it seems like Google has YouTube forever now, but it’s only been a year and a half. Google acquired YouTube back in October 2006. It’s finally time that they sync up everyone’s accounts to keep a more universal login.
I ran into multiple Google accounts back in August 2006, so I’m really hoping to never revisit that happenstance.
I logged into YouTube with my login, but it didn’t ask me to link my two accounts. Probably because they’re not even closely related, completely separate addresses.
