Google was granted a patent today for creating a Page Turning Graphical User Interface.
Here is a description of the patent.
A portion of the disclosure of this patent document contains material to which a claim for copyright and trademark is made. The copyright and trademark owner has no objection to the reproduction of the patent document or the patent disclosure, as it appears in the U.S. Patent Office records, but reserves all other copyright and trademark rights whatsoever.
FIG. 1 is a front view of a graphic user interface of page turning elements for a display screen of a communications terminal; and,
FIG. 2 is a front view of a second embodiment thereof.
The broken line drawing of a display screen of a communications terminal in both views is for illustrative purposes only and forms no part of the claimed design.
The broken line showing of the text, graphics and numbers in both views is for illustrative purposes only and forms no part of the claimed design.
Would this mean moving away from the normal Google interface of a simple “click to go to the next page” and create something more of an experience? We’ll see.
