Funny Ads Friday: Woot Woot!

We get just a little bit more of the funny woot.com today. Gmail brought us this funny ad.
Woot.com has been really aggresive about getting people to “throw away” their money, which seems like a weird marketing strategy. But hey, if it works, it works.

Woot has always taken a markedly different approach to advertising and the way they portray themselves, even on their own website. It’s very light-hearted. I recently emailed them with a question about an item they previously wooted several months ago and this was the response email I got back:
“Nice try but we only sell the items on their given sale date. You’ll just have to wait and see when and if we put those on sale again in the future!
”
Very informal. Still, I think it helps them define who they are as a company, and like you said, so far it seems to be working out for them.
