We can see that Google CalDAV dates back to as early as six months ago. So where do we stand right now? The same place we stood six months ago. Waiting.

Well, if you’re not familiar with what CalDAV is, it’s basically a way to “mount” your calendar around the web. According to Wikipedia, it is “…a proposal for a standard protocol to enable calendar access via WebDAV…” This would be a huge feature to add because it would allow people to seamlessly and natively sync calendars around the web.
What I use as a solution is a product called BusyMac, it has been getting the job done quite well so far (a proud owner going on two months now).
OS X’s iCal already has CalDAV functionality built into it, but alas, without Google offering the service to the public, it doesn’t make it very useful.

CalDav has now been launched (unofficially)! Over the weekend I came across a Google support article outlining CalDav support in Calendar. I’ve written more about the find and my initial impressions on my blog. For a direct link to the support article see http://www.google.com/support/calendar/bin/answer.py?answer=99355. Please share (digg) the information as you see fit.
