The Google Web Server has updated its 404 returns now. Before, it would simply return with a “that page is not found,” but now it turns useful information.
Something to keep in mind with having a non-static 404 page is that there are potentially millions, if not billions, of people reaching these pages. The Google Web Server needs to be built so that it can handle this amount of traffic. Adding the dynamic component to the web server was not a simple process.
