Reported on Friday by Greg Robbins of the Google Mac Team, the Google Data APIs are coming to the iPhone. The Data APIs will be coming to the iPhone via the Objective-C application development language, native to Mac OS X.

The new source files for Google Data APIs are under version 1.4 and compile without a problem using the iPhone SDK.

“If you are a Mac or iPhone developer looking to integrate Google’s services with your application, or if you’re just curious, take a look at the project and the examples on our Google Code site.”

It has not been a secret that Google is moving into the mobile industry. So what better way to get a piece of the action than to provide services dedicated to the iPhone.

Google definitely wants a piece, if not the whole pie, of the action for the mobile industry and they are making every effort to ensure that happens.
