It’s great that Google has highly customized and niche search fields such as Patent Search, Linux Search, Government Search, and Microsoft Search. But why would I care about using one of these customized search engines if they are only using old data?
Article 1, the most recent patent application submitted by Google was in September 2007?
The Google Patent Search tool would be a great asset to have. But again, the issue is that it’s old. I mean, I guess it would be useful if you’re looking for old patents between certain years, but don’t bother for anything new.
Google needs to stay on top of these indexes and have them updated with recent information.
