Google was not alone when they saw a drop in the number of web searches for February, “…the worldwide volume of searches also declined, comScore said on Wednesday.”
Web searches do seem to be down a little bit, but mobile traffic is increasing at an alarming rate. I feel this is where Google is starting to spend more time focusing as well. Recent partnerships, with companies such as Nokia, prove that Google knows that the world is “going mobile.”
Google also has their Android platform slowly being released and being adopted by more and more companies.
But enough about mobile search.
Web search is still very real and will not disappear for a very long time, so while it’s here, let’s make the best of it.
