While I completely agree with you, I feel that Microsoft is going after brand recognition and brand trust more than just the numbers and size.  Yahoo! is ranked, by Alexa, as the number one most-visited website on the Internet world-wide.

That&#039;s brand recognition and a user-base that you can&#039;t buy (unless you just buy the company, like Microsoft is attempting to do.)

They could, yes, incentive users to switch to MSN, but that still doesn&#039;t promise retention.</description>
