Google Shuts Down Froogle

Froogle first started out as froogle.google.com, which later moved to froogle.com. Froogle was first invented four years ago.

During this past week, Froogle sadly put up the white flag and dis-membered from the Google family. Visiting froogle.com will now lead you to google.com/products. I have to say that I am quite sad that they closed Froogle.

I was — and still am — a huge fan of Froogle, even if it doesn’t exist anymore. It was an awesome search engine powered by Google that was great for shopping. I honestly don’t understand how anyone would get confused to what it was actually meant to do.

But alas, Google has decided to shut down the product search engine and replace it with a blander “Product Search” instead.

We can’t honestly say that we didn’t see it coming.
