As part of Google’s effort to better market their recently acquired dMarc advertising and put it to good use, Google has contracted out with Clear Channel to start offering radio advertising on more than 600 channels.
This effort is going to be a huge for the advertiser base of Google. While it’s still unclear whether or not it will be directly integrated in with AdWords or not, the new voice advertising that Google recently started offering could play a huge role in this radio advertising deal.
Advertisers will soon be looking at booking campaigns and reaching an audience they had not ever before considered for advertising.

Blah. I hate clear channel! They took over my favorite XM station and tried to put commercials and ads on it. Well, that failed miserably and they more or less abandoned the best channel on XM. Such a waste…

I, on the other hand, am a fan of Clear Channel because they own KIIS, KBIG, and some other great radio stations that I listen to. I haven’t dug into the XM world yet, so I didn’t know about that…
