Google takes on Monster.com

Google is slowly but surely taking the steps to integrate Google Base into Google Search as a means to filter traffic into Google Base. This particular search query is for “atlanta jobs” which provides you an opportunity to easily search Google base for job opportunities in Atlanta.

This new feature is likely to become a strong competitor with companies such as Monster.com, Jobs.com, and CareerBuilder.com. So how will Google benefit at all from this kind of traffic source? As part of the posting process for users that want to post job opportunities, it allows for you to select an AdWords Ad which will be placed in the AdWords network. With more traffic actually going to Google Base, they are more likely to have advertisers sign-up more and more through Google AdWords and through Google Base to post more job opportunities.

More conversions turns into more traffic, more traffic turns into more revenue, more revenue turns into faster cars for Larry Page. Well…you get the idea.
