Here is a quick roundup for feature requests that people have come up with.
Google Maps
- Access to traffic data
- Optional font sizes and colors for better variability
- KML integration
- GeoRSS integration
- Integration between Google Maps and AdSense
- Comments: If a variable was added to AdSense for the bounds of the map and zoom level, AdSense could deliver geographically sensitive advertising when the map first is displayed. This would increase the click through rate and increase revenue to both the publisher and Google. Additionally, having a method that would tell AdSense that the viewport has changed, and the displayed ad would refresh would be fantastic. – To go further with this maybe a way to force an update of AdSense in general. It may be that the user is pulling data from some data source, it would be nice if AdSense was update to reflect the new page content.
- Flex2 integration and ActionScript3
I was originally just looking to find out how I could access the traffic data in Google Maps through the API and found this good list of things that I also found interesting.
