Yahoo! released an article with the top 50 most important people of the web today. So what makes this list so special? It’s special to me.
#1: Eric Schmidt, Larry Page, and Sergey Brin.
Who better to have as the number one person(s) of today than the founders and CEO of Google itself.
The list continues though with Steve Jobs as #2, the CEO of Apple. But there are a couple other highlights which I think are important. #6 as Craig Newmark, the founder of Craigslist.
#16 is a big one for me though. Matt Mullenweg. Just who is Matt anyway? Matt is the lead developer for a small blogging platform called Wordpress.
But to no surprise as well, #26 is John Battelle, the founder of Federated Media Publishing. Shortly following John is #30, Michael Arrington of TechCrunch and then #32 with Kevin Rose of Digg.com.
I could point out a ton of other important people on this list (important to me at least), but just head over and read the article.
