Google has been hit with an alleged violation of the Korea Fair Trade Pact (”KFTC”). The unnamed web company in Korea which complained to the commission in Korea is battling Google over an unfair termination of contract over possible click fraud.
The KFTC claims Google carried out violations including terminating the agreement between AdSense and the Korean company, failing to ensure payments and not providing advertisers with a right to appeal on the methods used to assess payments.
I have seen this countless times on the forums of DigitalPoint, but there is nothing that smaller consumers can actually do to fight back and receive the funds they earned. Google has time and time again, simply terminated publishers without notice and without real just cause.
Is there fair? No. Can Google do it? Yes…well, maybe. They can and do do it, but do they have the power to? They have the power, but it’s just the matter of smaller publishers not having the power to fight back and seek legal action against the monster of Google.
With such a large corporation as Google, it’s tough to fight back and you need some serious evidence backing your case before it’s even worth pursuing at all.
