T-Mobile Bans Google

T-mobile has put out a new policy which doesn’t allow for any third-party applications to be used on their phones. This new policy applies to everyone, even including those people that have these feature-rich phones and pay monthly subscriber fees for data transfer and other cool gadgets.
I am with Verizon Wireless myself and I am quite happy, but I do have to say that really sucks for T-mobile subscribers. Not allowed to use third-party applications? Seriously?! That’s ridiculous. I don’t care if you’re trying to weed out competition, that’s no way to treat your customers.
This means T-Mobile feature phone users are prohibited from surfing the Web with Opera Mini, checking maps on Google Local for Mobile, listening to podcasts with Mobilcast, and using any other form of software not pre-approved by T-Mobile.
So basically you can only use T-mobile apps now which are probably not that great since these other companies spend hours upon hours developing these third-party applications. T-mobile doesn’t have the resources to devote to these applications and this is why they should always allow their subscribers to use them.

What a load of bull. I will absolutely never go to Tmobile now. There is no reason to have a Pocket PC based phone then.

I completely agree Jason, I would never go Tmobile anyway, I’ve always been happy with Verizon.
