Some activists are taking charge and crying about the free Wi-Fi in San Francisco.
Last year Google and Earthlink won a joint bid to provide free Wi-Fi access to San Francisco but some want to put the clamps on the deal and start over.
Seems that there are more readily available Wi-Fi options that are faster for the city, but Google and Earthlink have already agreed to partner on the deal.
Some activists are complaining that their slow Wi-Fi is not fast enough and they want a faster connection. But wait, excuse me, isn’t it being offered for free? Yes, last I checked, the Wi-Fi was free with provided advertising on-screen. Would I take free Wi-Fi if I was given it? Sure, if I knew it was secure and with Google behind it I know it would be.
People should complaining and be more grateful for what they’re given — for free.
