On Monday, even as YouTube was removing clips owned by Viacom Inc. to meet the entertainment conglomerate’s demands from last week, those same clips were popping up on Google’s own site, called Google Video.
Since Google acquired YouTube not too long ago, they should be considered as the same company as Google. Viacom Inc. may not be looking at Google Video yet for the copyright infringement, but they should be.
YouTube was much more popular than Google Video 6 months ago and probably is still more popular, but that shouldn’t dismiss the fact that they have copyrighted videos too.
