This one comes straight from the rumor mill. The talk around town has been that Google TV will be coming out in beta sometime soon. There has been rumors floating around and videos being created about Google TV. So is it real?
The never-ending question of Google products. This one, however, made it to the front page of BBC this past Tuesday. This is what BBC had to report on it:
“Over time, we plan to increase the number of television channels and video content available via Google Video but don’t have more product details to share with you today,” a Google spokesperson told the BBC News website.
A direct quote from a Google spokesperson. Is this true confirmation that Google TV will be rolling out in the near future? I went ahead and did a little more digging.
After doing a nameserver search through various nameservers across the world, tv.google.com — the acclaimed sub-domain for Google TV — came up empty. Going a little bit further, I did a search on Google for the sub-domain name. That came up with less than 50 hits (01/29/07).
