Merchants are able to track their Checkout orders through Google Analytics now. This was released not too long ago, but here’s a small breakdown of it.
Google Analytics enables a merchant to understand how visitors interact with the merchant’s website. Google Analytics also helps the merchant to identify navigational components that promote or inhibit conversions to sales, enabling the merchant to optimize ad campaigns and website content for increased sales.
This is huge for merchants. With AdWords completely integrated into Analytics already and now Google Checkout is integrated, merchants can easily spend more and more money without breaking a sweat. Why would they be able to spend more money now? Easy. They can monitor their conversion rates and keep them at a certain level.
The easier Google makes it to track advertising and sales, the more likely companies are going to be to spend more money. I know for sure that once AdSense and AdWords work together inside Google Analytics, there will be no limit to how much I’ll be spending on advertising.
