As the Chronicle has learned, Larry Page is set to get hitched next month. Where? No one knows yet (well, except for Larry, I think he knows.)
So who is the lucky future-billionaire? Lucy Southworth.
December 4th, 2007, is the day being floated around the rumor mill today. Page is 34 right now, not old, but not young. Having gotten a little bit of a start running Google at Stanford, he’s done pretty well for himself. Listed as being worth $14 billion right now. Only the 13th wealthiest person in America.
Many current and former Google employees are expected to attend the wedding, along with Richard Branson, founder of the Virgin business empire, and San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom, according to sources familiar with the guest list. Former Vice President Al Gore was also invited but said he can’t make it because he will be receiving the Nobel Peace Prize at a ceremony in Oslo, Norway, on Dec. 10.
Ah good too bad, Al Gore won’t be there. I was looking forward to meeting him. I’m still waiting for my invite in the mail. Hope it comes any day now.
