As I’ve noticed more and more lately, I’ve been getting spam for my comment email address. I normally have e-mail address that I use to comment with around the web.
I’ve started receiving spam SEO offers, viagra offers, gambling offers, chess offers, you name it, I’m getting it. It’s filthy because I know that a webmaster out there sold my e-mail address to some spammer and is now happily spamming me.
Fortunately, Thunderbird catches most of the spam so I don’t have to even think about it, but the few that get through, ugh, enough is enough already.
All that to say, be careful which e-mail address you use around the web. I certainly do not use an e-mail address that is a primary inbox. The comment e-mail I use is purely a redirect to my primary inbox.
So just be careful about who you trust and who might just go sell your e-mail address.
But please rest assured, this site [nor I] will ever sell, lend, or give your identifiable information. As much as I hate spam, I would hate for you to get more than me. I hate spammers.
